Like most teenagers, I was interested in becoming a rock star. That dream foundered on my lack of musical talent.

So, I gave it up to become a professor instead.

Fortunately, numerous computer-based tools have come onto the market since then that make it possible even for the untalented to compose and produce high quality music. My preferred crutch is the Ableton Live Suite, version 12.
